About ANaM Awards

Over the last couple of years a vibrant alternative media community has emerged in Ireland which produces work that is well written, has incisive commentary and effectively challenges misleading narratives promoted by the established media.
The inaugural Irish Alternative News Media awards (AMaN*) seek to recognize outstanding contributions from Irish journalists who do not have a platform in the mainstream media.
Nominations were selected by an independent panel based on work produced during 2019 and first two months of 2020 which covered the #GE2020 election cycle.
Results will be announced in March 2020.
